When Frank Connolly

When FRANK CONNOLLY JR. joined Modem Media, Inc., as Chief Financial
Officer, in January 2001, he brought with him a uniquely appropriate
background. Not only was he a seasoned financial-industry consultant and
senior-level manager, but his prior post was as Chief Financial Officer
of E-Sync Networks, a leading provider of e-business infrastructure
products. He began his career as a Senior Consultant with Andersen
Consulting, then moved on to Dun & Bradstreet (D&B), where he managed
the company’s corporate-wide financial planning, budgeting and
operational analysis activities. Later, as Director of Financial
Planning with D&B’s Donnelley Marketing division, he introduced
procedural innovations that significantly improved the unit’s earnings
and cash flow and implemented Donnelley’s leveraged buyout by DM
Holdings, Inc. Mr. Connolly was subsequently named Senior Vice
President, Finance and CFO for DM Holdings, Inc. He also spent three
years as a Managing Director of DigaComm, LLC, a private equity
investment firm focusing on the media and information services
industries, leading the firm’s due diligence on prospective investments
as well as maintaining ongoing relationships with institutional funding
partners. He holds an MBA in Finance from Cornell University’s Johnson
Graduate School of Management and a BA in Economics from the State
University of New York at Stony Brook.
