Jerry M. Baird

JERRY M. BAIRD, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of
ProsoftTraining.com, brings more than 20 years experience in operations,
information technology and marketing to the company. In his role as
Chairman and CEO, he has been focused on guiding the company to be the
leader in the Internet skills training market. During his tenure, Mr.
Baird implemented a new company strategy and corporate identity. His
influence has helped evolve the company into a profitable and fast-
growing Internet training and certification content provider with the
world’s largest distribution network of Internet training sites. Mr.
Baird has also been pivotal in branding the Prosoft CIW (Certified
Internet Webmaster) program, which is quickly becoming the standard
choice for Internet professionals. The CIW program defines the basic job
roles and associated skills required for implementing today’s e-business
and e-commerce solutions. Prior to Prosoft, Mr. Baird joined IBM in 1996
and held the position of Chief Information Officer (CIO) for IBM’s
Consumer Products Division. He later assumed senior information
technology responsibility within IBM’s PC Company. In that capacity, Mr.
Baird lead the IT activities for IBM’s worldwide re-engineering efforts
in sales, channel and customer support. Mr. Baird also spent 17 years in
the food industry doing distribution automation, marketing, information
systems and plant management. In the late 1980s, Mr. Baird developed and
installed a breakthrough sales automation system for grocery store
delivery. He later formed a company to develop similar systems for
companies in the US and Mexico. He has held many leadership roles in
alumni, civic and religious organizations. He served as director of the
Texas Business Hall of Fame from 1992 to 1996, and he also served as an
entrepreneurship mentor for the North Texas Commission. Mr. Baird
participated as a key member of the Computer Reseller News Roundtable on
Training and Certification. He received his Bachelor’s degree from
Washington and Lee University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
