Gordon Marchand

GORDON MARCHAND is a principal and co-founder of Sustainable Growth
Advisers, LP. He also is co-portfolio manager of the John Hancock U.S.
Global Leaders Growth Fund, which the firm sub-advises for John Hancock
Advisers. Prior to founding Sustainable Growth Advisers in 2003, Mr.
Marchand was an officer, director and a member of the Investment Policy
Committee of Yeager, Wood and Marshall, Inc. Mr. Marchand joined Yeager,
Wood & Marshall in 1984. Earlier in his career, Mr. Marchand was a
manager with the management consulting service group at Price Waterhouse
and a CPA with Grant Thornton International. Mr. Marchand earned a BS in
Business Administration from Georgetown University and an MBA from the
University of Massachusetts and completed a graduate study program in
International Business at Oxford University. He is a Chartered Financial
Analyst, Chartered Investment Counsel and Certified Public Accountant.
He is president and a member of the board of directors of the Investment
Counsel Association of America, and a member of the American Institute
of Certified Public Accountants and the New York Society of Security
Analysts.
