Thomas Madsen – Key Technology Inc (ktec)

THOMAS MADSEN is President and CEO of Key Technology, Inc. He leads the firm with more than 25 years of engineering and management experience. Mr. Madsen held various positions including Vice President of Engineering (1975), Vice President of Operations (1979) and President (1980). Three years later, he and a small group of investors organized a management buy-out of Key Technology and formed the company. In July 1993, Mr. Madsen led the concern through a successful initial public offering of its common stock, which is traded on the NASDAQ stock market. Mr. Madsen holds a Bachelor of Science-Mechanical Engineering degree from Oregon State University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and a graduate of the Stanford Executive Program. Active in his community, he serves as a board member for Key Technology, Inc. and the local YMCA. In the spring of 1997, he was named Small Business Person of the Year for Eastern Washington by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Mr. Madsen is married and has two children. Profile
