Scott P. Sutherland is a Managing Director of Equity Research with Wedbush
Morgan Securities' Technology Research Group, and currently focuses on
telecommunications software and services and he oversees the growth of the
Telecommunications and Technology Research Groups. As Managing Director, he
oversees a group of seven analysts and the group's coverage strategy. His
research focuses on companies providing software and services that enable
enhanced services such as messaging and wireless data for mobile operators and
back office functions such as transaction processing for the telecommunications
market. More recently, he has overseen the expansion of research coverage to
wireless equipment. Prior to joining Wedbush Morgan Securities, he worked at
George D. Bjurman and Associates, an investment management firm, where he
assumed the key roles of Senior Research Analyst and IT Director. He also held
positions at John Hancock Financial Services and Wells Fargo Bank. He brings
over 17 years of experience to the finance industry, as well as two years of
hands-on technology experience. In 2004, he was recognized as the Third Best
Stock Picker in North America among over 3,200 analysts in 2003 according to
StarMine and highlighted in Forbes and Buyside magazines. Over the past five
years, he has continued to rank highly for both in StarMine and is currently
ranked 5-stars (out of 5) for 2009 recommendation performance and overall
earnings accuracy. In addition, he has been active in the media including CNBC,
CNN, Barron's, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, and IBD. He holds a Bachelor's
degree in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and is
