Niel Ellerbrook – Vectren Corporation (vvc)

NIEL C. ELLERBROOK is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Vectren Corporation. Mr. Ellerbrook was elected by the Vectren Corporation Board of Directors as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Vectren effective upon its formation March 31, 2000. Vectren was formed through the merger of two long- standing Indiana-domiciled NYSE companies: SIGCORP, Inc. and Indiana Energy, Inc. Prior to being named Vectren Chairman and CEO, Mr. Ellerbrook held the position of President and CEO of Indiana Energy, Inc., to which he was elected in 1999. Prior to his election as President and CEO, the Franklin, Indiana, native served in a number of positions, including Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President, Executive Vice President, President of Indiana Gas Company, Inc., and President and Chief Operating Officer of Indiana Energy, Inc., and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1991. Mr. Ellerbrook graduated from Ball State University in 1970, receiving a BS in Accounting. He serves on the Boards of the Indiana Electric Association and the American Gas Association, for which he serves as Chair of the Audit Committee. He is also on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, where he serves as Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Old National Bancorp. Ball State University has honored Mr. Ellerbrook by awarding him the Business School Award of Distinction (1995), choosing him as a Distinguished Alumni (2001) and admitting him to the Business School Hall of Fame (1999).
