Lewis Campbell – Textron Inc (txt)

LEWIS B. CAMPBELL is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Textron Inc. Prior to becoming CEO, Mr. Campbell had served as President and Chief Operating Officer since January 1994, having joined Textron in September 1992 as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Campbell joined Textron after a 24-year career at General Motors, where he held a number of positions, including General Manufacturing Manager, Rochester Products Division; Manufacturing Manager, Chevrolet- Pontiac, GM Canada Group; and Executive Director, GM/UAW Quality Network. In 1988, he was named a Vice President of General Motors as the General Manager of the Flint Automotive Group. In 1991, he was named General Manager of GMC Truck. Mr. Campbell received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University and attended the Advanced General Management Program sponsored by GM and the Harvard International School in Switzerland. Mr. Campbell is a Director of Bristol-Myers Squibb and is a member of the Board of Visitors of the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of EqualFooting.com, a B2B online marketplace, and is the Chairman of The Business Roundtable's Health and Retirement Task Force and a member of the Business Council.
