MATTHEW LITFIN, principal, has served William Blair & Company as an
equity research analyst since 1997. Mr. Litfin's growth-stock research
focuses on a variety of service industries, including for-profit
education, consulting and recruiting companies. Previously, Mr. Litfin
was a municipal bond analyst at John Nuveen and Co. Mr. Litfin graduated
summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor's
degree in Finance. He also received an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Mr. Litfin holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He and his
