John Murphy – Bay State Federal Bank Inc (bys)

JOHN F. MURPHY joined Bay State Federal Bank, Inc. in 1961 and served in various positions until 1976 when he was named President and Chief Executive Officer of the bank. In 1994 he was also named Treasurer of the bank. In 1996, Mr. Murphy was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors. He has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1975. Mr. Murphy is a Director of Connecticut On-Line Computer Center Trust and is a member of the Legislative, Secondary Market and Federal Home Loan Bank System Committees and the Government Affairs Council of the America's Community Bankers. He is a past President of the New England League of Savings Institutions and a former Director of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston.
