John Langille – Canadian Natural Resources Limited (cnq)

JOHN G. LANGILLE is President of Canadian Natural Resources Limited. He has worked for the company since 1976. He started as Treasurer and was promoted to Vice President of Finance in 1978. Mr. Langille held this position until 1985 when he was appointed President. Since that date, the company has completed numerous acquisitions, as well as grown through the drill bit. Canadian Natural is now one of the top 10 independent E&P companies, with operations in Canada, the North Sea and offshore West Africa. Prior to joining Canadian Natural, Mr. Langille worked as a Chartered Accountant both self-employed and prior to that with Coopers and Lybrand in Calgary. He has more than 30 years' experience in oil and gas with an emphasis on financing and cost- control. His organizational and financial skills have also expanded to the community. As an active member of the Calgary Booster Club, Mr. Langille was a member of the team that successfully obtained the 1988 Winter Olympics.
