Investing In Financial Services – Anton V. Schutz – Mendon Capital Advisors Corp.

Anton V. Schutz is the President and Chief Investment Officer of Mendon Capital Advisors Corp. Mendon Capital was formed in 1996 with a long/short and event driven investment strategy focused exclusively on investing in the financial services sector. He is responsible for the definition and implementation of portfolio strategy for the Moors & Mendon Master Fund. Mendon Capital along with Burnham Financial Group launched the Burnham Financial Services Fund (BURKX) in 1999 and the Burnham Financial Industries Fund (BURFX) in 2004. Mendon Capital is the sub-advisor of both funds. Mr. Schutz has been in the investment and risk management business since 1986, focusing on investment and portfolio management. Prior to forming Mendon Capital Advisors in 1996, Mr. Schutz worked at RBC Dain Rauscher in institutional sales trading in the financial institutions group. Mr. Schutz also worked at Chase Manhattan Bank for 10 years where his responsibilities included structuring investment products utilizing hedge funds and the development and application of financial risk strategies. He is often interviewed regarding his expertise in the financial services sector. He appears regularly as a guest on CNBC and Bloomberg, and has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, The New York Times, Financial Times, BusinessWeek, Investors' Business Daily, Smart Money and others.
