DAVID ZALMAN is President and Chief Executive Officer of Prosperity
Bancshares, Inc.SM After graduating from The University of Texas at
Austin, Mr. Zalman began his banking career as a cashier in 1978 in a
community bank with approximately $40 million in assets . After holding
a variety of positions, he was named CEO and guided the bank to annual
earnings in excess of $1 million and grew assets to over $100 million.
He joined Prosperity's banking subsidiary, Prosperity Bank SM, in 1986
as Executive Vice President. He was elected as a Director, Vice
President and Secretary of Prosperity Bancshares, Inc.SM in 1987, became
President in 2000, and was named CEO in 2001. Profile
