CHRISTOPHER DUTTON – GREEN MOUNTAIN POWER CORPORATION (GMP)

CHRISTOPHER L. DUTTON is President and Chief Executive Officer of Green Mountain Power Corporation. Mr. Dutton, was named GMP's President and Chief Executive Officer and elected to GMP's Board of Directors on August 6, 1997. He had been Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of GMP since 1995 and was the company's General Counsel and Vice President for the previous 10 years. Mr. Dutton practiced law as a partner in a Canton, Ohio, law firm before coming to Green Mountain Power in 1984. He earned his law degree from Vanderbilt University and his undergraduate degree from Ohio Wesleyan University. He has practiced law in Tennessee, Ohio and Vermont, and served as a Captain in the Judge Advocate General Corps, United States Air Force. Mr. Dutton is a member of the Board of Directors of the Vermont Electric Power Company. He is a Director of the Chittenden County United Way; a Director of the Vermont Business Roundtable; a Director of the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts; and a Trustee of Fletcher Allen Health Care. He also served as Chair of the Chittenden South Supervisory School District and was a member of the Champlain Valley Union High School Board of Directors and the Regional Technical Academy Committee.
