Bernard A. Weinstein – Ilx Systems

BERNARD A. WEINSTEIN is the Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of New York-based ILX Systems, a subsidiary of the Thomson Corporation and the world's largest provider of market data systems to professional stockbrokers. He received his AB in Philosophy from Columbia College and an MBA in Finance from New York University's Stern Graduate School of Business Administration where he was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma, the graduate business school equivalent of Phi Beta Kappa. Before founding ILX, he was Chief Information Officer at E.F. Hutton with responsibility for information systems and telecommunications worldwide. In addition, he was Founder and Chief Executive Officer of International Brokerage Information Systems, Inc. (IBIS), a subsidiary of the E.F. Hutton Group, which provided information systems and services to the financial industry. He served as Chairman of the SIA (Securities Industry Association) Information Management Committee and on the Advisory Board of SECTOR (Securities Industry Telecommunications Organization). He is a frequent speaker at technology and information management seminars and conferences including the National Computer and Automation Conference, Network World, the SIA Information Management Conference, INFOS, and the Singapore Computer Society Conference. He has also been invited to lecture at universities such as New York University and the Wharton School. His articles have appeared in publications such as the Scientific American, Wall Street and Technology, and Datamation. He has been quoted in newspapers and magazines such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Business Week and Newsweek.
