BARRY MORRIS was named Chief Executive Officer of IONA Technologies Plc
in May 2000. Mr. Morris is the visionary behind IONA's End 2 Anywhere
Web Services Integration Strategy. He has guided the creation and
evolution of the Orbix E2A e-Business Platform and successfully
integrated the strategic acquisitions of Netfish Technologies, Object
Oriented Concepts, Inc. and Suplicity. Since joining IONA in 1994, Mr.
Morris has served as Vice President of Product Management and
subsequently as Chief Operating Officer. During this tenure, he
successfully established the company's US headquarters in Waltham, MA.
Prior to joining IONA, Mr. Morris worked at Digital Equipment
Corporation, Lotus Development Corporation, Protek Electronics Ltd., and
Leading Technology Inc. Mr. Morris was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in
Business Administration (DBA) conferred by the International Management
Centres Association (IMCA) in August of 2001. He received his Bachelor
of Arts in Engineering Science from New College, Oxford University. Profile
