Anthony Massaro – Lincoln Electric Holdings Inc (leco)

ANTHONY A. MASSARO was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Lincoln Electric Holdings, Inc., in 1996. In May 1997, Mr. Massaro was elected Chairman of the Board. His career has been highlighted by extensive experience in international operations and business management. As Chairman and CEO of the company, Mr. Massaro oversees all of Lincoln's domestic and international activities. Prior to joining Lincoln Electric in 1993, Mr. Massaro served as a Group President of Westinghouse Electric Corporation, which he joined in 1967. In addition, Mr. Massaro previously served as Westinghouse's Executive Vice President responsible for the Industries and Environmental Group and General Manager of the Industrial Control Divisions. He also held a series of engineering and management positions in the company's nuclear, international and automation divisions. Upon joining Lincoln Electric, Mr. Massaro spent his first years with the company in London, England, first as President of Lincoln Europe and later as President of Lincoln International. Prior to becoming the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Massaro held the title of President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Massaro holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He also attended Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program. Mr. Massaro serves on the Boards of a number of business and civic groups, including the Manufacturers Alliance/MAPI and Cleveland Tomorrow. He is a member of the Board of Directors of PNC Financial Services, Thomas Industries and Commercial Metals Company. Profile
