Stephen P. Gardner

STEPHEN P. GARDNER has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
of Peregrine Systems, Inc. since July 2000. Prior to assuming the role
of Chairman of the Board, he was President and CEO, a position he had
held since April 1998. Formerly, he served in a series of senior
management positions for the company, including Executive Vice
President, Principal Executive Officer and Vice President, Strategic
Acquisitions. Prior to joining Peregrine in 1997, Mr. Gardner was
President and a Founder of Thunder and Lightning, an Internet software
company. He brings a diverse background in multi-platform enterprise
software and hardware to Peregrine, having served as President of
Alpharel Software, as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for Data
General Corporation, and as President and Founder of Integris, a systems
integration services operation affiliated with Bull Worldwide
Information Systems (Groupe Bull). Earlier in his career, Mr. Gardner
directed Federal Systems Sales for Stratus Computers, and was
responsible for strategic planning for the Burroughs Corporation. Mr.
Gardner holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geochemistry from Princeton
University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Harvard
Business School.
