Richard M. Bernstein

RICHARD M. BERNSTEIN is a Partner at Brown Investment Advisory Trust
Company and the lead manager of the Value Equity Fund. He is Chair of
the Investment Policy Committee. Mr. Bernstein also manages equity and
balanced portfolios for institutional and high net worth clients. He
has 20 years of investment industry experience. Prior to joining the
firm, Mr. Bernstein was a Vice President and Director of Research at
Mercantile-Safe Deposit & Trust Company where he was responsible for
equity fund management and research. He served as President of the
Baltimore Security Analysts Society from 1990 to 1991. Mr. Bernstein
earned a BA degree in 1979 and an MA degree in 1983 from The Johns
Hopkins University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Throughout his
career and currently, Mr. Bernstein has had experience managing
portfolios and interacting with investment committees of numerous not-
for-profit organizations. He is a current Board member of the Boys and
Girls Clubs of Central Maryland, current Council Chairman of the
Hereford United Methodist Church and a Mid-Atlantic Gleaning Network
charitable grower.
