Nick Coppola

Nick Coppola is a Senior Equity Analyst covering the construction equipment, household goods & services and E&C industries at Thompson Research Group, an independent equity research firm based in Nashville, Tennessee. With Thompson Research Group, Mr. Coppola publishes research on public companies in the construction industry for institutional investors, including some of the most sophisticated hedge funds and mutual funds. As part of his research process, Mr. Coppola conducts quarterly surveys utilizing a proprietary network of private industry contacts to identify trends in public, nonresidential and residential construction. Contacts stretch across the construction value chain including contractors, equipment rental companies, sureties, fleet managers, auctioneers and appraisers, as well as political contacts at the federal, state and municipal level. Mr. Coppola is ranked number one by Bloomberg in their Absolute Return Ranking for stocks. He has successfully completed numerous industry due diligence projects for private equity investors and private companies. He has been quoted by Bloomberg News, the Engineering News-Record, the Associated General Contractors of America, and has presented at the National Association of Surety Bond Producers annual convention. Prior to joining Thompson Research Group, Mr. Coppola was Assistant Vice President in Dealer Relations at Tradeweb Markets. He has held positions with Agilis Equity Partners, a middle-market private equity firm, and Legg Mason Wood Walker in the retail brokerage and investment business. Mr. Coppola earned his MBA at Wake Forest University with a concentration in security analysis and B.S. in finance at the University of Delaware. He holds his Series 7, 63, 86 and 87 licenses.
