Mortimer B. Fuller

MORTIMER B. FULLER III has been Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer of Genesee & Wyoming Inc. since 1977. Based in Greenwich,
Connecticut, GWI is a leading operator of short line and regional
freight railroads. In 1977, when Mr. Fuller purchased a
controlling interest in the company and became its Chief
Executive Officer, the company operated a single 14-mile railroad
that generated $3.9 million in operating revenues. Mr. Fuller
received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University, a
law degree from the Boston University School of Law and an MBA
from Harvard Business School. He is Chairman of the Australian
Railroad Group, a 50/50 owned joint venture of Genesee & Wyoming
and Wesfarmers Limited. He has served as a Director of the
American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association and was a
founding member of the Regional Railroads of America, serving on
that association’s executive committee until its merger with the
ASLRA. He also served as a Director of Detection Systems, Inc.,
until its acquisition by Robert Bosch GmbH in January 2001.
