Michael Yoshikami, CFP, is Chief Executive Officer, Founder and Chairman of the investment committee at YCMNET Advisors. Founded in 1986, YCMNET is an independent money management firm that provides wealth management services to institutional investors and individual investors. Dr. Yoshikami was named by Barron’s as one of the top 100 independent financial advisers for 2009, 2010 and 2011. He has more than 25 years of experience in the investment management and financial planning field. Dr. Yoshikami oversees the investment and research activities of the firm and is actively engaged on a daily basis in the firm’s securities analysis activities and determines the macro tactical asset allocation weightings for client portfolios. He works with YCMNET’s investment team in integrating behavioral investing strategies with the firm’s core fundamental perspective. Dr. Yoshikami is a CNBC contributor and provides investment commentary for CNBC U.S., CNBC Europe and CNBC Asia. He has appeared on CNBC’s “Closing Bell,” “Squawk on the Street,” “Power Lunch,” “The Call” and additional CNBC shows. He also provides commentary to TheStreet.com, MarketWatch, Reuters, Dow Jones, The Wall Street Journal and other international publications. Dr. Yoshikami also writes regularly for CNBC.com, and publishes a monthly “Common Sense” report that looks at the macro environment and the impact on asset allocation. He is also a lecturer speaking frequently on tactical asset allocation theory and has served as an Adjunct Instructor at two colleges. Dr. Yoshikami holds a Ph.D. in education and other advanced degrees.
