Michael Troiano

MICHAEL TROIANO is President of Primix Solutions, Inc. Mr. Troiano has
helped clients including American Express, A.T. Cross, Fidelity
Investments, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Lucent Technologies, Shell Oil
Company and Unilever define strategies that leverage Internet-based
technologies to deliver business results. He began his career in account
management, at advertising agencies including McCann-Erickson in New
York and Foote, Cone & Belding in San Francisco, servicing clients and
setting marketing communications strategy on behalf of ABC Sports, Jiffy
Lube, AT&T Business Services and Taco Bell. Mr. Troiano was a Management
Consultant at The Monitor Company in Cambridge before joining WPP Group
in 1994. At WPP, he reported to Group Chief Executive Martin Sorrell as
Director of Special Projects, exploring business process re-design
initiatives, strategic alliances and acquisitions, and implications of
new media for the world’s largest professional services holding company.
He was named CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Direct Interactive Marketing Group
in 1994, and led the re-launch of the group as Ogilvy & Mather
Interactive in 1995. As the CEO of O&MI, he more than doubled the
group’s revenues, winning new assignments from American Express and
establishing new relationships with Fidelity Investments, Shell Oil
Company and multiple divisions of IBM. He co-founded New York-based
strategic Internet services firm Brandscape in 1996, acting as the
firm’s CEO for two years. Mr. Troiano’s views on e-business strategy
have been featured in magazines including Forbes, Adweek, Advertising
Age, VAR Business Journal, Computer Reseller News, CNET, HomePC, and the
PBS television news show Frontline. He holds a Bachelor of Science
degree from Cornell University and an MBA from the Harvard Business
School.
