Melanie Mroz

Melanie Mroz has served SouthPeak Interactive’s President, Chief Executive Officer and Director since May 2008. Having worked with the company since 2000 in various capacities, in 2005 she assumed responsibility for SouthPeak’s day-to-day operations. Prior to SouthPeak, Ms. Mroz was at Phillips Sales, Inc., one of the largest manufacturer representative agencies in the video game industry, where she was hired to spearhead Phillips’ representation of Sony Computer Entertainment America and thereafter assumed other senior management duties. While at Phillips, Ms. Mroz represented some of the most successful video game titles in the industry to major retailers, including “Metal Gear Solid,” from Konami America, and “Grand Theft Auto,” from Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. From January 1995 to December 1996, Ms. Mroz was the Vice President of Sales for Digital Pictures, Inc., a private digital imaging, animation and video products producer. From March 1992 to January 1995, she was the National Sales Manager for Sony Imagesoft. Ms. Mroz entered the interactive software industry in 1986 with entertainment and educational software distributor SoftKat, then a division of W.R.Grace & Co. She began with SoftKat as a Buyer in the purchasing department and later became the Director of Purchasing. Ms. Mroz holds a Bachelor of Science from Winona State University, in Minnesota.
