Kurt Brunner

KURT BRUNNER,CFA, is a portfolio manager of ‘The Swarthmore Group’ and
is a member of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee. Prior to joining
‘The Swarthmore Group’, he served for thirteen years as an investment
professional at a large banking institution. From 1994 to 1998, Mr.
Brunner was a Research Analyst and Assistant Portfolio Manager with PNC
Equity Advisors Company ‘ the bank’s growth institutional equity
advisory subsidiary. There he focused on large cap growth equity
investments, as one of a team of four managing a combination of over $1
billion in mutual fund and common trust fund investments. From 1990 to
1994, he served as an assistant vice president, Equity Research. His
responsibilities included coverage of telecommunications services and
equipment and software and services industries. Mr. Brunner was awarded
a B.B.A. degree from Temple University in 1982. He was awarded an M.B.A.
in Finance from Widener University in 1986. Mr. Brunner is also a holder
of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. His other professional
affiliations include the Financial Analysts of Philadelphia, Inc.;
Association of Investment Management and Research and the Executive
Advisory Council for the Department of Finance, Temple University. He
is the prime portfolio manager for the Energy, Technology, Communication
and Capital Goods sectors.
