Keith Yokomoto

KEITH YOKOMOTO is President and Chief Operating Officer of
ARTISTdirect.com. One of the co-founders of the company, Mr. Yokomoto
developed the strategy and business model to complement Chairman and CEO
Marc Geiger’s and Don Muller’s vision to build an Internet music company
that connects artists and fans. His responsibilities include managing
the rapid growth of the company and the day-to-day operations, including
the Website development, sales and marketing, business development,
inventory and fulfillment, customer service and business administration.
Prior to joining ARTISTdirect, he managed an internal venture
organization at Hughes Electronics, where he developed strategies for a
portfolio of start-up businesses. Mr. Yokomoto’s experience at Hughes,
during a period of enormous consolidations of the defense industry,
included the strategic planning that led to the sale of Hughes’ defense
company to Raytheon. In addition to his work at Hughes Electronics, Mr.
Yokomoto provided consulting services for American Recordings,
developing business plans and assessing opportunities in multimedia
entertainment and music distribution. His education includes a BS in
Mechanical Engineering from UC San Diego and an MBA from the University
of Southern California.
