Gorevic, Jason

Jason Gorevic, since taking the reins as Chief Executive Officer of Teladoc, Inc., in 2009, has led the company through tremendous growth, increasing revenue nearly twentyfold and driving Teladoc to its position today as the largest and fastest-growing telehealth provider in the United States. Throughout his health care career, Mr. Gorevic has been a leader in the development, launch and management of innovative products and services that simultaneously deliver customer value and bottom-line results. Prior to taking charge at Teladoc, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing and Product Officer of WellPoint Inc. — now Anthem. He twice won WellPoint’s Pinnacle Award for outstanding leadership. As President of Empire BlueCross BlueShield, Mr. Gorevic had full P&L and operational responsibility for the $7 billion New York region, consistently exceeding enrollment and financial targets. In addition, when WellPoint acquired Lumenos Inc., he served as its Interim President. Mr. Gorevic became part of WellPoint when it acquired Empire BlueCross BlueShield in 2005, having joined the Empire leadership team in 2002, prior to its successful IPO that same year, and soon became its Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. Mr. Gorevic began his career at Oxford Health Plans in 1993, where he served in several marketing and operations capacities. At Oxford, he designed, built and managed a telephone medical advice line staffed by registered nurses, which was a first-of-its-kind service in the managed-care segment and is now an industry standard. In 2014, Mr. Gorevic was recognized by Ernst & Young as a regional winner of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award, and in 2003, at the age of 31, he was named one of Crain’s New York Business 40 Under 40 executives. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations from the University of Pennsylvania.
