Gene M. Henderson

GENE M. HENDERSON was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of
Transmedia Network, Inc., of North Miami, Florida, in October of 1998.
Simultaneously, he was elected to the company’s Board of Directors.
Prior to Transmedia, Mr. Henderson was President and Chief Executive
Officer of DIMAC Marketing Corporation, a full service integrated direct
marketing company with revenues of approximately $200 million,
headquartered in St. Louis but operating from eight locations throughout
the United States. During his tenure, DIMAC was a wholly-owned
subsidiary of News Corporation. Prior to DIMAC, Mr. Henderson spent
almost 20 years at Epsilon Data Management, Inc., a leading database
marketing firm based in Boston. Epsilon did an IPO in 1984 and was
acquired by American Express in 1990. Among his positions at Epsilon,
Mr. Henderson was President of one of the direct marketing business
units, which became Epsilon’s most profitable division under his
leadership. He was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of Epsilon in
1994. Mr. Henderson earned a Baccalaureate degree from Coe College and
an MBA from the University of Chicago. He and his wife, Glenda, have a
son, Chris, who is employed as a Product Marketing Manager for Iomega.
Mr. Henderson is a member of the Board of Trustees of his alma mater,
Coe College, member of the Board of Trustees and a former Chair of the
Board of Schools for Children, Inc., in Arlington, Massachusetts, and a
member of the Board of Directors of the National Multiple Sclerosis
Society.
