David J. Reid

DAVID J. REID is President and Chief Executive Officer of Renata
Resources Inc. Mr. Reid is a professional Engineer with 15 years of
experience in oil and gas production, exploitation, marketing as well as
corporate development and acquisition activities. Mr. Reid is a Co-
Founder of Renata Resources Inc. and previously held the position of
President and Chief Operating Officer since the company’s incorporation
in July, 1996. Prior thereto, Mr. Reid was Vice President, Operations
and Chief Operating Officer of Ballistic Energy Corporation where he was
responsible for all operations of that corporation. In addition, Mr.
Reid was directly responsible for maintaining efficient production
operations and the effective use of leading edge technology. During this
period, Ballistic maintained one of the highest netbacks within the
industry, primarily due to its low production costs. Mr. Reid obtained a
Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Petroleum
Engineering from the University of Wyoming in 1983 and 1985,
respectively.
