Daniel S. Lankford

DANIEL S. LANKFORD is Chairman, President and CEO of BOLDER Technologies
Corporation. He joined BOLDER Technologies Corporation as CEO in July
1994. For the previous five years, he was CEO of Lucent
Microelectronics – Europe, a major supplier of semiconductors, opto-
electronics, and power systems to the European electronics industry. He
brings to BOLDER a strong background in managing high technology
businesses and building winning teams. Mr. Lankford took Lucent
Microelectronics – Europe from $15 million in revenues and substantial
losses in 1989 to $250 million and profitability in 1994. He was
credited with building an exceptional, multi-national team and making
the European unit the fastest growing region in the Lucent
Microelectronics business unit. Prior to moving to Europe, Mr. Lankford
served as vice president of marketing of Lucent’s $2.5 billion world-
wide microelectronics unit. In this position, he played a key role in
the turnaround of the microelectronics business and was responsible for
the development and management of the AT&T/Bell Labs High Definition
Television project. He previously served as director of marketing for
the UNIX software business and as director of strategic planning for
Western Electric Company. Mr. Lankford received his Bachelor of Science
Degree with honors in industrial engineering from John Hopkins
University. He received his Masters Degree in Management from Stanford
Business School as a Sloan Fellow. He and his wife, Linda Crosta,
reside in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Mr. Lankford is a member of the
Executive Committee, an international organization of CEO’s and served
on advisory committees for the Boulder Technology Incubator. He is also
a member of the executive committee of the American Electronics
Association Mountain States Council and serves on the board of Bentley
Management Corporation.
