Daniel M. McGurl

DANIEL M. McGURL is Chairman, CEO and co-Founder of Bottomline
Technologies, Inc., a leading global technology provider of Financial
Resource Management (FRM) software. Bottomline offers electronic payment
and receipt software, Web-enabled business-to-business billing
technology, electronic invoice receipt and management solutions,
electronic banking and financial reporting systems to Fortune 500
companies and financial institutions in the United States and abroad. A
25-year veteran of the computer industry, he co-founded Bottomline
Technologies after leaving his position as Senior Vice President of
State Street Bank in Boston. Since then, Mr. McGurl has steered
Bottomline Technologies to consistent growth, market share, and
profitability. He played a key role in the development of the company’s
flagship PayBase suite, and has brought the company focus today on
developing automated, secure e-business solutions that enable
organizations to transition away from inefficient paper-based processes.
Under his leadership, Bottomline has developed and maintained its
reputation as the industry leader in payment technology software for the
corporate and banking arenas. Prior to launching Bottomline, he held a
variety of executive posts at IBM, including Director of Marketing
Planning and Director of Far East Operations. Mr. McGurl is a U.S. Naval
Academy graduate.
