Stephen Defalco – Perkinelmer Instruments Inc (pki)

STEPHEN P. DeFALCO is President of PerkinElmer Instruments, a position he has held since October 2000. Prior to his current role, Mr. DeFalco served as Vice President and General Manager of PerkinElmer's Analytical Instruments division, where he played a key role in improving operations and revitalizing the business. Previously, Mr. DeFalco was Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business Development at PerkinElmer, Inc. In this role, he played a major role in corporate growth strategy and business rationalization, and completed over $700 million in acquisitions, including the purchase of the Analytical Instruments Division from Applera Corporation (then named Perkin-Elmer). Mr. DeFalco holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and an MS in Management from the Sloan School of Business, also at MIT.
