Stephen P. Defalco

STEPHEN P. DeFALCO is President of PerkinElmer Instruments, a
position he has held since October 2000. Prior to his current
role, Mr. DeFalco served as Vice President and General Manager of
PerkinElmer’s Analytical Instruments division, where he played a
key role in improving operations and revitalizing the business.
Previously, Mr. DeFalco was Vice President of Strategic Planning
and Business Development at PerkinElmer, Inc. In this role, he
played a major role in corporate growth strategy and business
rationalization, and completed over $700 million in acquisitions,
including the purchase of the Analytical Instruments Division
from Applera Corporation (then named Perkin-Elmer). Mr. DeFalco
holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology (MIT) and an MS in Management from the
Sloan School of Business, also at MIT. Additionally, he holds an
MS in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University.
