Rory Olson – Surefire Commerce Inc (fir.to)

RORY OLSON is President and Chief Executive Officer of SureFire Commerce, Inc. Mr. Olson first entered the technology sector with the creation of Telesense Communications in 1991. Telesense developed the Quebec market for ACC Long Distance, a long distance service reseller. The company was acquired by ACC in 1994. In 1995, Mr. Olson co-founded Accent Internet with Joel Leonoff, which, through a series of acquisitions, became TotalNet Inc. In 1997, TotalNet was acquired by MPACT Immedia, a global e-commerce solutions provider. As Chief Operations Officer, he negotiated vendor arrangements with several major technology companies, including Microsoft and Compaq. Mr. Olson also developed the strategy to merge MPACT Immedia with the Electronic Business Solutions Unit of Bell Emergis, creating one of the top-tier e- commerce providers in the world. Bell Emergis was subsequently renamed BCE Emergis and Mr. Olson was appointed Executive Vice President of Business Development.
