ROBERT PORTMAN is Chairman, President, CEO and Treasurer of
PacificHealth Laboratories, Inc. He received a BA in History from the
University of Pennsylvania and a PhD in Biochemistry from Virginia Tech.
He worked as a senior scientist for Schering-Plough Corporation and
Hoechst-Roussel Pharmaceuticals Inc. In 1974 Dr. Portman founded MED
Communications, a healthcare advertising agency whose clients included
major pharmaceutical, diagnostic and hospital companies. In 1988 Dr.
Portman founded a consumer advertising agency. In 1995 he founded
PacificHealth Laboratories, Inc., a nutrition technology company focused
on the research and development of proprietary products for sports
performance, weight loss and the treatment of Type 2 diabetes. Profile
