Phil E. Mulacek

PHIL E. MULACEK is Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive
Officer of Interoil Corporation, President of EP InterOil Ltd. and
President and Chief Executive Officer of Petroleum Independent &
Exploration Corporation (P.I.E. Corp). Mr. Mulacek earned a degree in
Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. He
founded P.I.E. Corp. in 1981 for the purpose of oil exploration,
drilling, completion and production. P.I.E. Corp. has operated across
the southwestern portion of the United States, with more than 90 wells
developed at depths ranging from 1,500 to 26,000 feet. Mr. Mulacek also
has experience in designing salt-water disposal systems, waste oil
reclamation, crude oil treatment and blending facilities. P.I.E. Corp.,
under Mr. Mulacek’s direction, initiated the refinery development in
1994.
