David P. Stockert

DAVID P. STOCKERT is Chief Executive Officer and President of
Post Properties, Inc., a real estate investment trust that
develops, owns and manages Post’ apartment communities. Mr.
Stockert joined the company in January 2001. From July 1999 to
October 2000, Mr. Stockert was Executive Vice President of Duke
Realty Corporation, a publicly traded real estate company. From
June 1995 to July 1999, Mr. Stockert was Senior Vice President
and Chief Financial Officer of Weeks Corporation, also a publicly
traded real estate company that was a predecessor by merger to
Duke Realty Corporation. From August 1990 to May 1995, Mr.
Stockert was an investment banker in the Real Estate Group at
Dean Witter Reynolds Inc. (now Morgan Stanley). Mr. Stockert
earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University
of Colorado in 1984 and completed his MBA at Columbia University
in 1990. Mr. Stockert is on the Board of Directors of the
National Multi-Housing Council, and the Atlanta Apartment
Association. He is also on the Vestry of Holy Innocent’s
Episcopal Church and on the Board of Trustees of Christ Church
Episcopal School, both in Atlanta.
