James P. Roemer – Bell & Howell Co

JAMES P. ROEMER has served as chief executive officer of Bell & Howell Company (BHC) since February 1997. He has been director, president and chief operating officer of Bell & Howell Company since February 1995. He joined Bell & Howell Publication Systems Company (PSC) in October 1991 as president and chief operating officer and was promoted to president and chief executive officer in September 1993. In January 1994, he was promoted to president and chief executive officer of UMI (then called University Microfilm Inc.) Before joining BHC, Roemer was President of the Michie Group, Mead Data Central. Previously, he was vice president and general manager of Lexis/Nexis, an on-line legal information service. He also has served as director of data processing at Mead Products Division, director of operations, and later, acting president of Mead Data Central. Roemer attended the University of Cincinnati and completed the Executive Program at the University of Virginia and the Program for Management Development at Harvard University. Profile
