YOUNG K. SOHN is Chairman and CEO of Oak Technology, Inc. Before joining
Oak, Mr. Sohn was President of the Enterprise and Personal Storage
Group, a $4 billion revenue organization at Quantum Corporation. Prior
to Quantum, Mr. Sohn spent 10 years at Intel Corporation as Marketing
Director of Worldwide Channel Marketing, Business Unit Manager of the PC
chipset business, and earlier, as Product Marketing Manager for the
Microprocessor Group. Mr. Sohn is a Board member of Hynix Semiconductor
(previously Hyundai Electronics Industries), PLX Technology,
Massachusetts High Technology Council, and is a member of the Young
Presidents Organization (YPO). He is also President of the AAMA (Asian
American Manufacturers Association), which has members from over 500
companies in the Silicon Valley. Mr. Sohn holds a BSEE degree from the
University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from MIT's Sloan School of
