Using Automotive as a Defensive Play

Managing Director Anthony F. Cristello rejoined BB&T Capital Markets in July 2015 and follows the automotive aftermarket & dealerships sectors. In 2012, Mr. Cristello ranked number one for his stock picking in autos & auto parts in The Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street” analyst survey. In its “World’s Top Analysts” survey recognizing the top analysts in 2010, Financial Times/StarMine named him number three in specialty retail for estimate accuracy. In 2008 he was ranked number two. In its 2010 “Blue Chip Analyst” awards, Forbes ranked Mr. Cristello number three in the nonfood retailers and wholesalers industry, with performance based on three years of both earnings estimates and recommendations. Before rejoining BB&T Capital Markets, Mr. Cristello was a Senior Vice President of business development for Copart, Inc., where he maintained responsibility for M&A initiatives and corporate growth strategy.
