THOMAS RYAN – SERVICE CORPORATION INTERNATIONAL (SRV)

THOMAS L. RYAN was named President and Chief Operating Officer of Service Corporation International in July 2002. He joined SCI in 1996, holding various positions within the company including investor relations and a variety of executive financial operational roles. In November 2000, he was promoted to Chief Executive Officer of European operations, responsible for over $700 million in revenue in eight different countries. Prior to joining SCI, he spent eight and a half years with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Ryan is a graduate of the University of Texas where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. JEFFREY E. CURTISS is Senior Vice President and Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of Service Corporation International. He joined SCI in January 2000. Prior to that he was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Browning-Ferris Industries, Inc., the second largest waste services company, from January 1992 until it was sold in July 1999. Mr. Curtiss has over 33 years of financial experience and has been the Chief Financial Officer of substantial publicly held companies since 1988. His experience includes international tax and finance as well as corporate development and capital market transactions. Mr. Curtiss is an Attorney and a CPA and holds an advanced law degree in Taxation.
