Thomas Hund – Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation (bni)

THOMAS HUND assumed his current position of executive vice president and chief financial officer of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corporation in December 2000. Prior to this position, Mr. Hund served as senior vice president and chief financial officer beginning in August 1999. He began his career in the railroad industry with Santa Fe Pacific in 1983 in the accounting department. In 1989, he was appointed to assistant vice president and controller for Santa Fe Railway and was promoted to vice president and controller in 1990. In 1990, he was also promoted to vice president and controller of Santa Fe Pacific and held this position until the merger in 1995, when he was appointed as vice president and controller of BNSF. Prior to working for the railroad industry Mr. Hund worked at Peat Marwick as an audit manager. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society.
