Stuart Collinson – Aurora Biosciences Corporation (absc)

STUART J.M. COLLINSON serves as Chairman, CEO and President of Aurora Biosciences Corporation. He joined Aurora in May 1999 as President, was appointed Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors in November 1999 and in March 2000 was appointed as Aurora's Chairman of the Board. Under his leadership, the company has raised over $75 million in private financing, grown to over 400 employees, and formed a number of significant collaborations including those with American Home Products, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, GlaxoSmithKline, Merck and Pfizer. Before joining Aurora, Dr. Collinson served as Chief Executive Officer of Andaris Ltd., a privately held biopharmaceutical company in the UK. He held senior management positions at Glaxo Wellcome and Baxter International Inc., and was a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group.
