STEPHAN B. GODEVAIS, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of
Valence Technology, Inc., is focused on streamlining Valence's
operations and key processes to prepare the company for its next stage
of growth. Additionally, he is furthering the development and expansion
of the company's marketing and sales efforts. Mr. Godevais joined
Valence from Dell Computer Corporation, where he led Dell's desktop and
notebook product lines for consumers and small businesses. During his
tenure at Dell, Mr. Godevais launched the company's Inspiron division,
growing it into a multi-billion dollar business and introduced the first
15 inch notebook in the industry, sustaining its position as a market
leader from 1998 to 2000. Prior to Dell, Mr. Godevais managed Digital
Equipment Corporation's notebook business worldwide. Mr. Godevais also
spent 10 years at Hewlett-Packard where he held positions in marketing
for various product and field organizations. He received a Business
