SETH JOHNSON was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating
Officer on February 15, 2000. Mr. Johnson had been Vice President '
Chief Financial Officer of Abercrombie & Fitch since June 1992. Prior to
joining Abercrombie & Fitch, Mr. Johnson held the position of Director,
Financial Analysis from 1989 to 1992 at The Limited, Inc. From 1986 to
1989, he held the position of Director, Financial Reporting to The
Limited Stores, another business operated by The Limited. Prior to
joining The Limited, Mr. Johnson held several positions at Batus Retail
Group New York, specifically Director of Business Analysis & Reporting
from December 1984 to April 1986; Director of Planning from April 1983
to December 1984; and Manager of Strategic Planning from February 1982
to April 1983. Mr. Johnson received a Bachelor's Degree in Economics
from Yale University and a Master's Degree in Finance from the
