Scott Hand – Inco Limited (n)

SCOTT M. HAND became President of Inco Limited in April 1992. In December 1991 he was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of Inco Limited. Prior to his election as President, he was Executive vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Inco Limited, responsible for the company's worldwide legal, Office of the Secretary and patents functions. Mr. Hand became Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary in 1984 and Executive Vice President in 1981. Mr. Hand was also responsible for Strategic Planning and Business Development for the company from 1987 through 1992. Mr. Hand joined Inco in 1973 in its Legal Department. Before he joined Inco, Mr. Hand was associated with a New York City law firm. Mr. Hand received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamilton College in 1964, and after spending two years in Ethiopia with the US Peace Corps, he entered Cornell Law School, where he was graduated with a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in 1969.
