SAMUEL A. LIEBER is CEO/Portfolio Manager at Alpine Management & Research, LLC. Previously, he was associated with The Evergreen Funds as a Real Estate Portfolio Manager. Before that he was with Whitbred-Nolan, Inc., and with The Project for Public Spaces as a Noyes Fellow. Mr. Lieber's academic background includes Wesleyan University, New York University Graduate School of Business, and NYU Real Estate Institute. He is a member of NYSSA, NAREIT, the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land Institute. Profile
ROSS L. SMOTRICH, a Managing Director and Senior Equity Analyst at Bear, Stearns, heads a five-member team that provides research coverage for REITs and other real estate securities. He joined Bear, Stearns in 1998. He was previously with Merrill Lynch and Chemical Bank. He also worked as an Economist in Israel's Department of International Affairs-Ministry of Finance, and in the Knesset. He received his BA from the University of Pennsylvania and his MBA from Columbia University. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute (Multi-family Council) and NAREIT. Profile
LOUIS TAYLOR, Managing Director of Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., joined the firm in November 2000 to cover the REITs sector. Prior to Deutsche Bank he was associated with Prudential Securities and was a real estate acquisition officer at several firms including AEW Capital, Security Capital and Prudential Real Estate Investors. He is a CPA and holds an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth and a BS from Boston College. Profile
LEE SCHALOP is a Managing Director and Head of real estate research in the Equity Research Department at Banc of America Securities LLC. Prior to joining Banc of America Securities LLC, he served as the Senior Analyst for real estate stocks at Credit Suisse First Boston Corp. and J.P. Morgan Securities, where he covered a similar universe of stocks. Prior to that, Mr. Schalop spent two years as a Financial Analyst in the real estate department at Morgan Stanley & Co. Inc. Mr. Schalop is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a BS in Economics from the Wharton School and a BA in International Relations. Profile
