Silber, Jeffrey M.
Jeffrey M. Silber is a Managing Director and Senior Analyst at BMO Capital Markets Corp., covering the business services and education sectors, including the staffing, information services, business process outsourcing and online recruitment industries. He publishes two periodic industry reports: an annual overview of the education and training industry and the “Staffing Indicator,” on staffing services. Mr. Silber serves as the host and moderator for the firm’s annual Back to School Education Conference, considered the premier investor event for the industry. Mr. Silber's research has been recognized by many industry surveys. He has won a StarMine Analyst Award four years in a row from 2011 to 2014, and in 2011 was named to Institutional Investor's All-America Research team for his coverage of the business, education and professional services sector. GERALD ODENING is a Managing Director of Jefferies & Company in equity research for Knowledge Services. Prior to joining Jefferies in 2003, he was a Managing Director at JP Morgan Securities, heading up the education services research effort from 1999-2002. Between 1999 and 1999, Mr. Odening launched research on the emerging education industry at Salomon Smith Barney, where he was a member of the Institutional Investor All-America Research Team. He has been a securities analyst for over two decades. Mr. Odening is a frequent conference speaker on the business of education and has testified before a congressional panel on Web-based education. GARY E. BISBEE III is a Vice President and Senior Research Analyst covering the education services sector at Lehman Brothers. Mr. Bisbee's coverage universe consists of all the major postsecondary education companies, including Apollo Group, Career Education Corporation and Corinthian Colleges. He plans to expand his coverage universe in the future to include selected corporate training and K-12 education companies and consumer services companies. He has been quoted in numerous publications, including The Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, Investor's Business Daily, and U.S. News & World Report. Prior to focusing on education, Mr. Bisbee worked as a research associate in the firm's business services practice for three years following a diversified group of business and consumer services companies. He initially joined Lehman Brothers in the summer of 1997 as an associate in institutional equity sales, before moving to equity research in July 1999.
