Robert O’malley – Immersion Corporation (immr)

ROBERT G. O'MALLEY is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Immersion Corporation. He was elected Chairman on October 23, 2000. Before joining Immersion, he was President of Intermec Technologies Corporation, a UNOVA company. Prior to Intermec, Mr. O'Malley served as Chief Executive of Pinacor. He was formerly President of MicroAge, Inc., where he launched Pinacor in 1998 as a wholly owned MicroAge subsidiary. Mr. O'Malley joined MicroAge in 1995 after 19 years with IBM, where he held positions in large systems sales, retail industry sales and finance. As General Manager of desktop systems, he had worldwide responsibility for the development and brand management of IBM's consumer and commercial PC desktop systems and display products. Mr. O'Malley spent two years in Tokyo establishing IBM's Asia-Pacific PC business and its joint venture assembly operations in China. Prior to that, he was responsible for US channel sales, finance and planning, and IBM's US business planning. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Mr. O'Malley holds a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering and an MBA degree from Arizona State University. He is a Board member of the University of North Dakota Aerospace Foundation, serves on the Board of Regents of Brophy College Preparatory, and is a member of the Arizona State University College of Business Dean's Council of 100 Board.
