Robert Murdock – Petroglyph Energy Inc (pgei)

ROBERT MURDOCK is President and CEO and serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petroglyph Energy, Inc. Prior to Petroglyph Energy, Mr. Murdock formed Petroglyph Gas Partners, L.P. to engage in the acquisition and development of oil and gas producing properties in Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah. From inception of the partnership through December 1996, the partnership acquired properties for approximately $11.7 million and had cash flow from operations and from the sale of these properties of approximately $14.4 million. In 1997 Mr. Murdock and the other partners in the partnership prepared the company for an initial public offering, with operations focused on oil development opportunities in the Uinta Basin in Utah and gas development opportunities in the Raton Basin in Colorado. On October 20, 1997 Petroglyph Energy, Inc. became a public company traded on the NASDAQ Stock Market under the symbol 'PGEI'. Prior to forming Petroglyph Mr. Murdock founded GasTrak Holdings, Inc. in October 1985, a natural gas marketing and gathering company. GasTrak marketed approximately 100 million cubic feet of natural gas per day and built and owned four gas gathering systems. Mr. Murdock served as President of GasTrak Holdings from inception until the company was merged with Sunrise Energy, Inc. in 1990. Mr. Murdock began his career in the oil and gas business in 1981 when he accepted a position with Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Company where he was responsible for gas supply analysis and forecasting. He also held positions for the development of special marketing programs, and gas supply and transportation contract administration.
