PAUL A. R. BEYREUTHER, CFA, is President of The Beyreuther Company,
Inc., a firm that specializes in the investment management of company
sponsored retirement plans. Mr. Beyreuther has been managing retirement
plan investments for 30 years. He began as a portfolio manager with the
First National Bank of Chicago, later he was Vice President and head of
trust investments at Amalgamated Trust and Savings Bank and, just before
founding The Beyreuther Company in 1986, was President of Alphaquest
Asset Management. He earned his MBA from Washington University in St.
Louis and studied law at the John Marshall School of Law. At this time
he is on the Boards of the New Mexico chapters of the Association for
Investment Management and Research and the International Association for
Financial Planners. He is also a Managing Director of the Washington
